Fall/Winter/Spring Class Descriptions:

Fine Art Lessons

Recommended for ages 10 and up, though younger students may be considered if they are able to focus quietly.

Fine Art Lessons are work at your own pace classes, designed to build technical skill while focusing on subject matter that inspires each student. Students are encouraged to bring printed reference photos to class as inspiration, while working on each piece.  If students are unable to do this, the studio has an extensive binder of reference options.  Classes meet once a week, with 4 week commitment.  In order to best place students, a  review of portfolio/example pieces and interview is required to enroll in any of the fine art classes.    These classes require a strong ability to focus and work independently.  $30/lesson.  Class size: up to 6 students depending on the needs of the group.

About your Instructor:
Candace Thibeault holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, as well as Art Therapy and Public Relations. Candace has experience in showing, curating and producing art at university & gallery levels.  She has served as juror for several New England Universities and has curated work for many industries; such as pharmaceutical companies, restaurants and hotels . Candace has had her work published in several Publications, digital and hard copy.  Her illustrations were purchased for a jewelry line that was featured as the 'Best gifts for the Holiday' in The Charlotte Magazine. She has been an educator for over 15 years, and has helped many of her students gain acceptance into prestigious art programs such as RISD, Massachusetts College of Art And Design and Savannah College of Art & Design.  Candace has spent time working with alternative schools and students who have needed very particular types of art projects and therapies.  Candace currently teaches full time from her home studio and produces work in the form of commissions and portfolios for upcoming gallery shows.
